Updates

Here are some updates on Adam and Abby. Well about Abby, she turned 10 months old yesterday and she has 4 teeth! She has a cold. She is very cute and growing up too fast. She already crawls. She will be 1 on Christmas Eve. Last Christmas was crazy with my mom in the hospital.

Now Adam, he will be 2 on December 17th. He has a cold also. He has very curly hair. Here is something funny thing he said a few days ago: my mom was giving me a spelling test, when she got to the word BITE, the sentence that she used was “Don’t bite your sister”. Adam overheard that and said, “Which one?” Adam is very protective of his Hot Wheels cars; he will often line them up and play. Abby will crawl over and try to take them. He will then hug his cars and say, ”Somebody take her! Take the baby away!”

I love them both sooo much!

Cousins Camp - The report

Sorry it took so long for me to post this. Well, about Cousins Camp, we had lots of fun (but that was no surprise) and the skit we did was about Ruth and Naomi from the Bible. I (10 yrs) was Naomi, Micah (8 yrs) was Boaz, Kiah (7 yrs) was Ruth, Zoë (5 yrs) was Orpah and Eva (4 yrs) was Boaz’s relative. For the program, we also sang a special song: The Volcano Song:

Boom de lie de lie de watch it glow, Ohh volcano.
Boom de lie de see the island grow Ohh volcano.

In the middle of the ocean no land in sight
A volcano blows its top and makes a paradise
When the red hot lava comes tumbling down
It will hit cold water and become new ground.

Up from a bubbling volcano
God has made an island grow,
Looks so nice like paradise,
God makes wonderful things
Oh! God makes wonderful things.

Boom de lie de lie de watch it glow, Ohh volcano.
Boom de lie de see the island grow Ohh volcano.

Just a lava rock island no living thing
But the plants and animals God will bring
There will be palm trees swaying in the sandy shore,
And the monkeys swinging while the seagulls soar.

Up from a bubbling volcano
God has made an island grow,
Looks so nice like paradise,
God makes wonderful things
Oh! God makes wonderful things.

Boom de lie de lie de watch it glow, Ohh volcano.
Boom de lie de see the island grow Ohh volcano
Boom de lie de lie de watch it glow Ohh volcano,
Boom de lie de see the island grow Ohhhhh volcano!

We had so much fun doing that song. We dressed up like Hawaiians for that song. The girls got grass skirts and two fake flowers for our hair. Micah, my brother, got a ukulele and a homemade skirt made out of a paper bag. We all made leis. We picked blackberries, we made sour cream blackberry pie, pumpkin pie and an apple pie to serve after the program. We, of course, went pooh-sticking. We also dressed up when the great-grandmas came for dinner. We all had fun at Cousins Camp.

Here's a picture of all of us singing a song in the program:

My Birds

As much as I like ponies I also like birds. On January 10, 2004, when I was 8, I looked up state birds in encyclopedias. I found them and drew pictures of them.

The New York state bird is:
The blue bird

The North Carolina state bird is:
The cardinal

The New Jersey state bird is:
The eastern goldfinch

The Oregon state bird is:
The western meadowlark

And my state bird (Idaho) is:
The mountain blue bird

Here is the picture of my paper I made:
